(Contingent Hire) Principal, Project Director

Synergy Enterprises, Inc., a woman-owned small business, is seeking a Project Director for a large, complex, multi-year federal health communications contract to produce and disseminate evidence-based print and digital resources for healthcare professionals, treatment providers, and general public audiences focused on substance use treatment and recovery services. This position is contingent upon contract award. This will be a primarily remote position.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Proven project management leadership on a large, complex, multi-year project
  • Experience directing multidisciplinary staff
  • Strong scheduling and strategic planning capability
  • Ability to control project costs
  • Demonstrated success meeting performance objectives under tight schedules and limited budgets
  • Ability to respond to changing circumstances and external pressures
  • Strong communication skills with Government officials and other diverse audiences
  • Evidence of creative, innovative problem solving
  • Experience creating, managing, and listening to expert panels

Qualifications:

  • 8-10+ years of experience with substance use treatment and recovery services
  • Outstanding project management skills
  • Ability to work with high-level federal officials and subject matter experts and problem solve in a high-stress, time-sensitive environment
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and manage on time delivery of products within scope and budget
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

 

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Physical demands:  While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle objects and documents; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.  Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision. Employee may use office equipment such as telephone, computer, computer software, calculator, printer, copier, and facsimile.
